Built c. 1900, the Casita is a 2 bedroom Territorial style cottage on two tree-lined streets of Mountainair’s historic Silk Stocking district.  The large corner lot incorporates covered parking, a fenced yard with BBQ equipment, fruit trees, and shaded seating.

The cottage is fully furnished with a mix of antiques and custom furniture, fine and folk art, washer/dryer, down comforters, and bath accessories. Also available: high-speed wireless internet service, satellite TV and stereo.

The large kitchen is outfitted with a gas range, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, coffee maker and grinder, and complimentary New Mexico coffee beans.  A selection of dry goods and condiments and fresh herbs from the garden are on hand for the use of guests with culinary interests.

Daily Seasonal Rates

Low Season
     (Oct. – March) $85/day – $500/week

This 2 bedroom Mission Revival bungalow, originally owned by pioneer cattle woman Belle Chisholm, sits on a view lot in the town of Mountainair, New Mexico.  Portal, rear deck, and xeriscape garden with mature trees make this casita a welcome high desert retreat.

Accommodations include 2 queen beds, convertible day bed, 2 satellite TVs, DVD player, and a mini-library of southwest inspired literature. The fenced yard offers security to guests with pets (pet deposit required).

The New Mexico Eclectic style includes mid-century furnishings, local art and artifacts, and a fully out-fitted kitchen. The outdoor living area features a fire pit and a 5-burner gas grille, deck, patio furniture, and umbrellas.
